I am the typical story. Active, cheerleader in high school always eating whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted, no concern at all. I would just burn it off. Continued those habits throughout the beginning of my marriage 8 years ago. My metabolism slowed down, my activity diminished, my food didn’t. I started working a desk job and became sedentary. Six and a half years in to our marriage, I had our first beautiful daughter. 2 years later had my second beautiful daughter. I was at my heaviest and felt gross in every aspect. I felt like I was pretty health conscious and would lose the weight. I had in my head before my second daughter was born I want to be 130 lbs by my 30th birthday in September. I had to get there. I had my 6 week follow up from my daughters birth, and began the following day. 4 months later I hit my goal. I have never been so proud of myself. I still had 4 months until my birthday.
My journey to health has become so much more for me. I have never felt better in my life. Making conscious choices of food and enjoying each bite. I am surrounded by amazing food daily. I have discovered a love of cooking and am passionate about teaching my girls healthy living. While I never deprive myself of the things I want, having the knowledge and power to choose has been amazing!
